Our Fit Mums Program is the perfect follow-up from our postnatal classes, ideal for mums with babies 4 months and older. These classes are more intense and really designed to make mums sweat and work hard. As a mum your time is valuable and we want to make sure you get everything you can out of your workout. All classes are child friendly so feel free to bring your baby or toddler along. Under the Fit Mums program we offer boxing, circuits and sculpt!
Fit Mums Boxing
Incorporates cardio boxing with core and strength training, designed to be a full body workout. This is the superpower of our Fitmums classes, packing a punch of burnt calories on the way ! Always a winner !
Fit Mums Circuits
A high intensity interval session, this workout is designed to work your entire body with a special focus on core. Multiple circuit stations combine resistance training with muscular endurance and strength building.
Fit Mums Sculpt
Designed especially for mums who want to improve their posture, core strength, pelvic stability, work on repairing their diastasis recti, and at the same time shed those extra baby kilos. This class is a non-traditional Pilates class drawing from the principles of Pilates combined with the strengths of ballet and yoga. Prepare for a full body workout to lengthen and strengthen your full body. We will work in bare feet and please bring your own mat.

When can I join this class?
We generally recommend this class from 4 months postnatal onwards, providing you have started physical activity since delivering your baby. If you are unsure contact us and we can decide if you should be in the postnatal class or the Fit Mums class.
Are babies/toddlers allowed?
Yes, the more the merrier ! It makes for a lively class but everyone is very understanding we are all mums ourselves. Just make sure to keep an eye on your little one, and if they need a cuddle or a nappy change it is ok to take a break.
Will I meet other mums?
Yes and that is kind of the point of it all. Do something good for you, get out of the house and get a great social circle around your exercise routine. This is why it is so different from going to the gym.
I’m so glad I came across Urban energy! I was a bit of a gym bunny before giving birth to my son. After giving birth I was keen to get back into excercise. I was too tired to go at night so began looking for options to train during the day and perhaps put my son into a creche. I couldn’t really find any gyms with a creche that would allow me to train for an hour or so. Then I stumbled across urban energy and haven’t looked back. I now do between 4-5 classes a week and I take my son along. He gets to have a crawl around and socialise with other kids while I workout so it really is the best of both worlds. I only have two mornings a week when my daughter is not in nursery and when she is home I want to spend the time with her and not at the gym. Enter Fit Mums. These classes have been so much fun for her, and such a great workout for me. The instructors make sure all the mums get in a serious workout even with all the little ones running around. My little two year old even knows how to squat and plank! I feel so lucky that Urban Energy has helped me show her what a healthy lifestyle looks like and I know as she continues to grow up exercise will always be a big part of her life.Megan
